We humbly seek your support for our “Anna-Dan Seva: Full Meal” project, a noble and compassionate initiative dedicated to providing a full meal of prasadam (sanctified food) to everyone who visits Gangasagar. Your generous sponsorship will help us continue this vital service.
Gangasagar: A Sacred Confluence
Gangasagar, where the Ganga meets the Bay of Bengal, is a revered pilgrimage site. It is where Lord Kapil Muni imparted the teachings of Sankhya philosophy to his mother, Devahuti, and where Gangadevi descended to bless King Bhagiratha and his ancestors.
Annual Pilgrimage
Every year, lakhs of devotees visit Gangasagar for a holy dip, especially during the Gangasagar Mela and Maghi Mela. Pilgrims from diverse backgrounds come with a shared devotion to the Supreme Lord.
Anna-Dan Seva: Full Meal Project
Many pilgrims face hardships, lacking basic amenities and food. At ISKCON Gangasagar, we believe a pilgrimage is incomplete without prasadam, a divine gift that nourishes body, mind, and soul.
Our “Anna-Dan Seva: Full Meal” project serves hot, nutritious, and pure vegetarian meals to pilgrims and the local poor community within a 10-mile radius of ISKCON Gangasagar Centre. Prepared in our hygienic, semi-mechanized kitchen, our “Annamrita Thali” cooked with love and devotion. The cost of a daily full meal is Rs. 30, consisting of rice, dal, bhaji, sabji, sweet, or pickle.
Join Us
We offer prasadam free to pilgrims from 8 AM to 8 PM, welcoming everyone regardless of caste, creed, race, language, or religion. For 20 years, we have served during the Gangasagar and Maghi Melas and provided relief during natural calamities, thanks to generous sponsorships.
Our vision is to operate a permanent modern kitchen throughout the year to ensure no one leaves Gangasagar without receiving the mercy of Lord Kapil Muni and Gangadevi.
