The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), founded by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966, is a global movement dedicated to spreading the teachings of Lord Krishna as revealed in the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. ISKCON promotes a simpler, more natural, and spiritual way of life for the benefit of all living beings.
ISKCON has established numerous temples and centers worldwide, where devotees and visitors can experience the joy of Krishna consciousness through activities such as chanting, dancing, worshiping, studying, serving, and feasting. One such center is ISKCON Gangasagar, located on Sagar Island in West Bengal, India.
